 2010 Coaches Application 

COMPETITION SITES: UNC Charlotte and Hopewell High School

COMPETITION DATES: Monday June 21ST - Thursday June 24th 

 

APPLICATION FEE: There is a $10 tryout application fee for tryouts per player. There will be an additional $35 for all selected player. Fees are non-refundable. Players who are selected should also expect to incur other expenses (i.e. travel, hotel, food, etc.)

 

 

DESCRIPTION: Two separate tournaments – a high school senior East-West series and an eight-team underclassmen (rising sophomores, juniors and seniors) tournament – will make up the State Games high school softball competition.  The graduated seniors will play a three-game series on Thursday, June 24th.  The underclassmen tournament is a four-game, round-robin competition that will be held June 21ST  to June 23rd .  

 

GENERAL INFORMATION: Players must be varsity players at a North Carolina high school. Players must register for tryout before March 19.  Players must attend tryouts in order to be selected.  Graduated seniors will be selected to represent the East/West teams.  Rising juniors and seniors will be selected to represent each of the eight N.C. High School Athletic Association regions.

 

ENTRY PROCESS:  Varsity softball players can register for tryouts online with a MasterCard or Visa.  Or they may submit the Entry Form in the PDF above.  There is a $10 application charge for tryouts.  Please make all checks out to State Games of NC.  

 

If you are not able to register online with a credit card, you must print a Player Nomination Form from above and send the form with your $10 application fee to: State Games, Dept SB-HS, 406 Blackwell St – Suite 120, Durham, NC 27701.  Player Nomination Form and $10 fee must be received in the State Games office before try-out date.
