COMPETITION SITES: UNC Charlotte & Hopewell High School, Charlotte
COMPETITION DATES: Wednesday, June 16-Sunday, June 20
APPLICATION FEE: $15 per player. There is a $5 late fee after March 12 if accepted.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT: Two separate tournaments – a high school senior East-West game and an eight-team underclassmen (rising juniors and seniors) tournament – will make up the State Games high school baseball competition. Graduated seniors will play a two game series on Wednesday, June 16. The underclassmen tournament is a four-game, round-robin competition that will be held June 17-20. Scout workouts will be held June 16 for each underclassmen team.
ELIGIBILITY: Players must be varsity players at a North Carolina high school. Players must register online for tryouts before March 12. Players must participate in a tryout that is annouced on the Tryout List above in order to be selected. Graduated seniors will be selected to represent the East/West teams (20 on each team). Twenty rising juniors and seniors will be selected to represent each of the eight N.C. High School Athletic Association regions.
Check the tryout information above for the dates, times and locations of tryouts. Players only have to attend one tryout unless noted otherwise. Also, make sure you check the tryout information for changes before attending a tryout. Cancellations and changes due to weather will also be posted here.
